A non-disclosure agreement (NDA) is a legal contract between two parties, in which one party agrees to keep certain information confidential that is shared by the other party. NDAs are commonly used in business and employment contexts to protect confidential information such as trade secrets, intellectual property, and sensitive business information.
There are two main types of NDAs: unilateral and bilateral. A unilateral NDA is one in which only one party is bound to keep the information confidential, while a bilateral NDA binds both parties to keep the information confidential.
