MANAGING TALENT: Can Yahoo Still Attract Tech Workers?
Yahoo! Inc. is an American multinational Internet corporation headquartered. Yahoo was a very popular business of the Internet. It is now seeking and recruiting for software experts.
The determination that I can draw about the supply and demand for labor at yahoo is that they need to raise the salaries. A high tech worker at yahoo should be making a good salary. One struggle employers always had was to attract and keep software experts, they were concerned that their employees would leave for a better offer.
Susan Burnett is yahoo’s senior president of talent and organization development. She established the development program called leading yahoos teaches leaderships, goal setting, and measurement of results. The yahoo’s corporate strategy supports efforts to create goals more visible to employers at all levels. Employees would also believe they have opportunities to advance themselves.

If I was responsible for college recruiting at yahoo I would recruit the top schools for software engineering. For example schools such as; Milwaukee school of engineering in Milwaukee, Michigan, Technological University in Houghton MI, and Florida Institute of technology in Melbourne, FL. I would say I am recruiting highly skilled software experts to hire for yahoo. Yahoo is seeking pathways for growth.

In conclusion, Yahoo had good employees that left for other companies despite their great talent and how good yahoo was because of their lack of excitement and no creativity. Hence, the other companies had better talent and much more to offer. Yahoo should most definitely recruit people from the top best engineering schools in order to expand the organization of yahoo.
