Next, find one reliable news source that has covered the incident you’ve chosen. Make sure it’s a reliable news source that publishes well-written, well-researched articles. It is suggested that you use one of the news sources listed below:
The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, Vox, HuffPost, Politico, CNN, and Time Magazine all publish liberal-leaning journalism.
National Review, The Washington Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Federalist, Fox Online Journalism, and the Washington Examiner all publish conservative-leaning news.
NPR Online News (National Public Radio), Reuters, BBC, CNBC News, USA Today, Christian Science Monitor, and Pew Research Center are examples of centrist news sources.

Provide a brief synopsis of your chosen current event in the beginning section of your blog post. You should be aware of your own bias and make every attempt throughout this summary to avoid biased, opinionated, emotional, or judging language. This includes avoiding terms like “always,” “obviously,” “clearly,” and so on.
Your blog post should address each of the following questions in addition to providing a quick synopsis of your chosen current event:
What branch of the US government is now involved in this situation?
What groups or individuals are affected by this occurrence?
What are the biases or leanings in the media source you selected? Give specific examples. Were these in any way counterbalanced?
What are your thoughts on the subject?
Your blog post should be written in Word and adhere to the following guidelines:
A one- to two-paragraph overview of the current event you’ve chosen.
For each of the four questions (see above), write one to two paragraphs, for a total of at least four paragraphs.
The blog’s content is based on information from your chosen news source or other trustworthy sources.
The length should be between two and three pages.
At least one high-quality source (your chosen news story) must be referenced.
