A job description is a valuable tool for describing all of a position’s activities, duties, and responsibilities. The primary goal of this project is to improve understanding of the important parts of a job description and how they relate to the HRM and talent acquisition processes. Read the article Job Worth Doing: Update Descriptions (Links to an external site. ), the Occupational Outlook Handbook (Links to an external site. ), the guide Best Practices and Emerging Trends in Recruitment and Selection (Links to an external site. ), and the web page Employers (Links to an external site.) from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics before beginning work on this assignment (EEOC).
In your paper, you state:
Discuss how a job description is a managerial function.
Consider the following components of a job description and explain how they contribute to a successful performance management system:
Technology and tools
Knowledge, abilities, and capabilities (KSAs)
Education is required.
Explain how a job description’s legal components connect to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Describe at least two assessment methods that can be employed when recruiting qualified people, as well as how those two methods are suitable for achieving corporate goals.

The paper must be two to three double-spaced pages long (excluding the title and references pages) and formatted in APA style, as indicated in the Writing Center’s APA Style (Links to an external site.) resource.
A separate title page must be included with the following information:
Name of the student
Name and number of the course
Name of the instructor
Date of submission

An opening and a conclusion paragraph are required.
